Ponied up and invested in a laser cutter to aid in my projects, and thought it would be fitting to baptize Helios with a new pendant, since the one I've had around my neck for the last 3 years has taken a royal beating!

Major jealousy here. Am I thinking about something else or aren't those expensive as hell...? (no $ needs mentioned)
I might be out sailing, but wth: is it one of those where you can like engrave on metal but not cut through it(in other words, not a huge ass transformers machine) but most other not so thick stuff (wood, plastic...leather... something)? How many millimeters can it handle? <--- nerdy curious question ftw.
