okay, i'm shutting off commenting here, no point in having two threads of people raging about how insane this all is. this is proof of my work, because the other proof and the rest of my general body of work wasn't enough to satisfy these guys. I have not and probably never will be issued a formal apology despite what i show this guy, and the promise hes openly made on his forum, so this and the other submission (with comments on) will remain as proof of what happened over here

SO I primarily have been document the progress of my work because i like to just have something to refer to.

if i get the time (and feeling jolly about it) I'll post some of the wips on my da, or prop site, or whatever. maybe a tute like thing

However, never in my days of propbuilding had i thought that it would need to serve as proof to some numbskull who not only can't recognize his own work, but claims that the work *I* did is his, starts up a bigol thread in some place that I never heard of before to collectively piss on me with his friends and form some raiding party onto my DA account.

My attempt to email him had turned up no response, but still has the time to play woeisme on his forum, pissant over here under a sock puppet account that i had to RESEARCH to find that was actually him, and make up claims that he did try to PM me privately, but was met with a refusal for me to show proof and some BS about a busted camera. (which never happened)

upon showing my friend Mike this mess (blindsquirrel of www.mydumbprojects.blogspot.com) and basically saying WTF, he tried to communicate with this guy and was fed some terse lie that someone sold me his parts for my gear and an accusation that mike is me. (no, blindsquirrel is not me. my email was signed "fev" on it. yeah, the one that you ignored. I don't use sock puppets as i'll give and take under my own name thank you.)


However, we've been in a communication of sorts. since researching and such has found that taco/Esparda has been sockpuppeting as some random lackie here, jme1979). For behavior which doesn't quite represent the "woe is me this evil theifgirl is stealing my work" victim on the forums he started all this crap, please check the posts by jme1979, an the rest of his buddies from his raiding party. They're the only ones pulling this crap


Especially note the rather flattering remark he gave me after I DID post these precious WIP photos he wanted: "First off if I had seen this piece of shit belt in your final photo I would not have said shit. "

You SEE Taco, Esparza/jme 1979/sockpuppet of the day??? this could have been avoided! you could have been a man and gone straight to me in the first place. I could have shown you said piece of i made, you wouldda been able to tell that the "shit work" wasn't yours right then, and gone on your merry way. no harm no foul. but Noooo you couldn't do that could you? you had to play retarded little games as sockpuppet and have a running lynchmob carry on. and assault my DA. next thing it'll be fact in your minds that i eat babies.

starts thread on forum, gathers mob, 4 images as grand evidence, creates dummy account to accuse me as some random supporter in third person perspective, has mob of friends do the same, continues to fan flames on his forums so folks think I'm some hack/thief/etc and want to piss on me at conventions (wtf?)

Force was kind enough to mention the problem with recasting. I've had similar problems in 2000 with earlier prop woodworks that were duplicated in cheap metal and sold by trashy sword vendors at cons before. it blows. also had to have a couple folks take down my finished props that they posted on ebay as items for sale (doctored out watermarks yay! ). that blows too. working on Ezio's pauldron clip thingers, have to worry about that problem there. I feel your pain on that. but to assault anybody even remotely suspected of this, from a mob, and start a hunt based on loose accusations, proof that you DON'T have (beyond some popular guy's word) and mix in speculation as fact for good measure? thats lame Yo.

i dunnno if they wanna claim m left bracer as well, but if y'all taco folks wanna claim i took that too, please let me know, i'd be happy to share that with you as well.

1-3 .photos of my bracer. i never saw the refs you posted on the creed thread you mentioned, and links appear to be broken now, so now i guess that's your word against mine.
I never bothered to look. Mine were long since done when i found the thread and i prefer cdesigning my own stuff so i can say i truly did my own work

i have 3 spare plate of the "upper" plates. (the ones that are textured) because i made the overlap the wrong way. they're waiting for a new home one maybe a random bracer. oops.

5-8 (oops forgot to number 7) - the shoulder plate thinger. i can't remember if y'all are accusing me of this one too, but whatever, i'm incuding it. deal.

9- straps that connect the sheath to the belt (is this the "frog" these guys have been talking about? ), along with gel and cute lil bit o' sheepskin i used to rub it on. Stomped it in the driveway to give a beaten look first. I likes my stuff ruddy and worn :3. Pics of this assembled and bolted on can be found on the current state pics of my cosplay gear

10-13, 15 k, no two bolts here. my attempt with rivets failed. bought ones hat were too long. so yarp. chicago bolts. the front plate is a tooled and painted leather scrap, thats mounted onto 1/8" plywood to make it solid, then another piece is glued on to provide the loop thingers. the bolt in the middle goes through my tunic so the whole harness doesn't keep riding up (i dunno if guys experience the problem, but i do if i don't bind my chest, which is rare cuz it hurts)

back of much of its not colored to (like the belt) avoid bleeding since the gears really hot. forgot about potential problem and stained the crosspiece in the back. and pic of tired fiance with strap getting laid out. adding the crosspiece was easy so didn't bother to lay that out, just cut it from a scrap and sewed it on (all sewing is handsewed, no machine here )


14 and the dagger sheath. wood with leather gled on, color added with same antiquing gel.

yeahh.. i need to get off my butt and rub this down with some more color. tis been to a lotta cons without touching up the leather.

anywhoo, I'm not here to bash on this guys work. I could care less what he does. I just am posting this because hes accusing me of buying all this from him as well. beause i like my own and the process that goes into making it.
