Working on a commission for Lightning's sword from FFXIII...
The primary blade is made from 1/4" red oak, sandwiched with thinner pieces of expanded PVC. it wwas later painted with Rustoleum stainless steel spray, the "track" and black details are made from .040 styrene
The pair of plates and the black handle grips are also Expanded PVC, and painted to give a sense of weight in them, though they're actually really light. much of the main body and the grip will be built from red oak & mdf to make them strong ^^
