Lightnings gunblade -completeby *fevereon

Finally finished, paints still setting though :\

This was a commission for Lightning's sword from Final Fantasy XIII. The games not out yet (not even in Japan lol) but she wanted to get a jump on cosplaying and wanted this crazy piece of stab XD

The blade is removable so you can put it in a suitcase in two pars, much easier to transport.

It doesn't transform (Square-E cheated the transformation anywhoo

), but the "claws" on the top and bottom can move a lil

I think it was somewhere around 70 plates, panels, washers, and stuff that went into it, and around 100 hours into researching and building. it was hard to get all the lil details when researching and drawing up plans, so intial ones were constantly revised and i took a "figure it out when i get there" approach after a while..

stand was a last minute addition, figured it would be a decent piece for display when its not being used foro cosplay...

105 cm, combination of wood & expanded pvc, washers, bolts, miscellany...

It is a model of a weapon appearing in the unreleased video game Final Fantasy XIII and is breathtakingly accurate and true to form. When I first sighted this deviation, the first thought in my mind was 'wow', the detail is amazing and there's not much one can do to stop themselves gaping in awe at the superb craftsmanship.
